While reading a blog post on Rashmi’s with the title A cognitive analysis of tagging I understood more on the our categorization processes and our decisions. My first impression was whether categorization and tagging was a natural need, but Rashmi explains further through cognitive psychology.
Is tagging reinforcing our archiving methods and does this practice means for our congitive capacity? According to Cory West, Engineering Manager on photos team of Facebook, on his talk at Luminance explains the transition from knowing the facts to knowing where to find the facts. Could the web have a negative impact on our brains?

Tagging is definitely a part of the digitization process at the moment. Humanity has started moving everything on the web. And one of the big players at the moment is Google. Their project is based on digitizing every single book on the planet.
